Greg was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on March 16, 1971. He was drafted in the second round by Philadelphia and was their 1st choice and 33rd overall in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. Last season Greg had points in 30 of 60 games. He was plus or even in 47 of 60 games and had a career streak in which he scored a point and had 2 or more points in three consecutive games. In his career, Greg posted a goal in his first NHL game in 1994 at Dallas. He played for Canada's Silver Medal Club in the 1994 Olympics, played his collegiate career at North Dakota, and was a three-time WCHA All-Star. He led the WCHA in assists in 1990-91 and 1991-92.
